Go green this spring with ideas from BRAVA magazine’s latest issue – WMTV 15 NEWS

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – If you are thinking about going green this spring, there are a number of local retailers with a focus on environmentally friendly products.
BRAVA Magazine’s Editorial Director Shayna Mace visited WMTV on Monday and highlighted a few retailers that are featured in the new magazine issue.
The company encourages Wisconsinites to swap out things in their home for more earth-friendly swaps. For example, owner of the store, Sasha Stone, shared that a stainless-steel tea infuser is better for people and the environment.
Celebrating five decades in business! Mace said this company is eco-friendly as they are local and they use local clay from Paoli Clay Company. “Not only are they making their things locally but the materials they are making it from are also local, so we are cutting down on transportation costs. We’re making the product all in house. We’re employing all local people.” Mace added this company is affordable and good quality.
This Fort Atkinson-based skincare brand is celebrating their 12th anniversary. The company makes plant-based skincare that shows results including softer skin. It’s also Environmental Working Group verified program which means, “the product must not contain any ingredients on EWG’s list of unacceptable ingredients, which include those with known health, ecotoxicity or contamination concerns.”
Mace said secondhand shopping is a very popular topic among it magazine readers. This type of shopping is more earth friendly, and Wisconsinites can score great deals on these items. A few secondhand stores in the Madison-area are Retro Revolution, Silver Rose Vintage and Style Encore.
