The Florida Environmental Regulation Commission (ERC) is a non-salaried, seven-member board created by the Legislature as a part of the Department of Environmental Protection.  The ERC members are selected by the governor and are representative of agriculture, the development industry, local government, the environmental community, residents, and members of the scientific and technical community who have substantial expertise in the areas of the fate and transport of water pollutants, toxicology, epidemiology, geology, biology, environmental sciences, or engineering.
The ERC is charged with setting statutorily specified air and water quality standards by evaluating their scientific and technical validity, economic impacts, and risks and benefits to the public and Florida’s natural resources.
If you would like to propose an amendment to a DEP Rule that has been noticed to appear and is scheduled to be before the ERC, please use  the linked ERC Rule Amendment form and either bring the amendment to the noticed meeting or email to the contact person on the rule as noticed in the Florida Administrative Register.
There are no meetings scheduled at this time.
