2026 Azimut Grande 44M eco-friendly flagship teased – boatsales.com.au – Boatsales

Azimut has commissioned an all-new flagship superyacht called the Azimut Grande 44m, a new model with an ultra-efficient hull design including foils that can help to cut emissions by as much as 30 percent.
The Azimut Grande 44 will become the largest motor yacht that Azimut has built. Is it too big? Some people don’t think so. The four-deck design has already attracted five buyers keen to call it their home away from home.
The secret to Azimut’s environmental claims is a hull that looks like it belongs to a fast-displacement hull up front but features hard chines running aft from amidships to make it more like a planing hull, a feature Azimut calls the Dual Mode Hull.
Also helping, though, is a carbonfibre foil built into the stern of the Azimut Grande 44 that helps to suppress the energy normally lost in the formation of a wake, increasing the amount of forward thrust compared with a conventional hull design.
The foil also helps to minimise pitch, sway and roll while on the move. The Grande 44 will be the first Azimut motor yacht to use the technology.
Adding to the green credentials is a hotel mode that allows the entire superyacht to power up without using generators for anywhere between four and eight hours at a time.
Azimut says its Mild Hybrid Plus Zero Emission Hotel Mode system is the only solution today that makes it possible to cruise with the generators off and all loads connected, as well as producing a surplus of electricity that is used to recharge the battery pack.
Why four levels? That’s because Azimut wants to give owners the choice of using the second-highest tier of the Grande 44 as an exclusive retreat with a master suite, private bridge deck terrace and uninterrupted sea views forward and astern.
Unusually, the Azimut Grande 44’s helm station is located on the uppermost deck. However, this helps to leave the deck below free for the owner’s use.
For the second deck, the Azimut Grande 44 borrows its design from the Grande Tri-deck, with an aft mezzanine with a “Sea View” terrace. The highlight of the terrace is a glass-bottomed pool which is transparent to the deck-level beach club below.
The forward section of Grande 44M’s upper deck can be fitted out as a media room for guests or reserved for the owner, or as a dining area with a verandah accommodating 12 people.
In both cases, almost 2.0-meter-long windows on either side provide open views outside, while a lounge area in the bow featuring a small firepit offers a cozy space to watch sunsets over the water.
The Azimut Grande 44M will have its official global reveal at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival.
No other details of the Azimut Grande 44 are available.
