KIDS at a Coatbridge school were seeing double after celebrating their second eco green flag.
Environmentally-friendly St Kevin’s Primary and Nursery pupils and staff were joined by Airdrie Central councillor Jim Logue as they unfurled their hard-earned flag on school grounds.
A spokesperson for the school said: “To achieve this award our children and staff continue, on a daily basis, to implement sustainable, environmentally friendly initiatives.
“For example, we have monitors who ensure children dispose of their litter appropriately, others who switch off lights when left on unnecessarily and those who recycle materials in class and nursery.
“We will continue to work alongside Bargeddie Primary and the wider community towards a common goal to improve eco matters.”
Councillor Logue added: “The children have made many improvements in their school environment with regard to eco issues.”
