FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Downtown will “go green” Sunday at its fifth-annual Fort Wayne Eco Fest.
Eco Fest established its roots in Fort Wayne in 2019 and since its beginning, the free events goal has been showing off sustainable and environmentally-friendly initiatives that are shaping Northeast Indiana.
“Eco Fest is an event like no other,” said Addie Farris, President of Eco Fest. “It is our goal to design an event that feels just as engaging and exciting as other local favorites while also keeping waste reduction and sustainability at the forefront. Every year, we average just one 32-gallon trash bag of landfill-destined waste produced during the entire event. We can`t wait to continue that mission this May with the help of our sponsors, vendors, and attendees.”
Eco Fest will take over Headwaters Park from 12 to 5 p.m. on May 19, with over 100 vendors and live music and entertainment. Eco Fest will also feature activities for kids with the 260HAIRBUS braid bar, the recycling game and more! You can find all the details for Eco Fest on their website.
