United States Supreme Court
The U.S. Supreme Court has called for the  U.S. solicitor general’s views in cases that could affect the landscape of future climate change litigation and the political redistricting process, a signal of the justices’ interest in perhaps taking up those issues next term.
For the rest of June, the justices will be fast at work trying to clear a backlog of cases argued this term, with decisions that will likely reverberate nationwide. Those include disputes about the power of regulatory agencies, the availability of abortion medication and emergency abortion care, and high-profile challenges to gun restrictions.
