Announcements
SEI’s sustainability efforts are led by our institute-wide environmental management team. Through this initiative, we have changed our travel behaviour, reduced our waste, and decreased our energy and water usage. We have also made our events more sustainable and improved our procurement practices. Additionally, we collaborate with host institutions and partners to encourage similar changes.
In 2024, we will develop a global sustainability policy that will connect and advance our work on three pillars of sustainability: environmental impact, workforce and finances.

Our sustainability work is supported by our environmental policy and the SEI developed tool “TR2AIL,” created to track travel-related greenhouse gas emissions.
We aim to "walk our talk" by working as sustainably as possible. We are raising our game with policies, processes and technologies.
Project / The TR2AIL project aims to develop a prototype tool to support sustainable decision-making around air travel.
