African Training School on Green Chemistry and Environmental Sustainability – Chemistry International

Each year IUPAC endorses a large number of independently organized conferences, symposiums and workshops that cover a wide range of specialized topics in chemistry. Endorsement by IUPAC attests to the quality of the scientific program and indicates the host country’s assurance that scientists from all countries may participate. See program details.
Considering the increasing global focus on sustainability and the need for green practices in various industries, it can be inferred that the theme of green chemistry and sustainability is indeed of significant importance in the present time, especially in African countries. The training school aims to raise awareness, train participants on sustainability principles, provide advanced know-how on green chemistry, enhance professionals’ capacity for sustainability, and contribute to the education of lifelong ambassadors for green chemistry.
The scientific program of the event holds significant importance and topicality in the field of chemistry, by focusing on green chemistry and sustainability, the program addresses a pressing global concern and emphasizes the need for environmentally friendly chemical processes, especially in the Africa region. Additionally, this edition holds special significance as it is the first of its kind in Africa. By inviting top qualified professors in each field, the training school aims to enrich the African edition of the green chemistry school and foster international collaboration. This event serves as a crucial platform for advancing the understanding and implementation of green chemistry in Africa, making it a highly anticipated and necessary gathering for professionals and early career scientists in the region.
The School will be held in Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, Benguerir, Morocco
