Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has signed a bill to provide funding for environmental resource management.
DeSantis signed the bill, SB 1638, during a news conference Thursday at the South Florida Water Management District in Davie.
The bill will provide an additional $150 million for repairs and upgrades to water management systems in Central and South Florida, DeSantis said.
It also dedicates the bulk of the state’s gaming revenue from the compact with the Seminole Tribe to conservation efforts.
