Environmental Science & Ecology Students, Staff & Alumni Attend Conference – SUNY Brockport Athletics

Several students, staff, and alumni from the Department of Environmental Science and Ecology attended the 2024 New York State Wetlands Forum Annual Conference and Meeting in Saratoga Springs, NY on April 16-17, 2024.
Several current students and staff presented the results of their research at the conference.  
Adellia Baker- Wetland restoration impacts on vegetation composition in Lake Ontario coastal wetlands. Advisor: Rachel Schultz. 
Andie Graham- The Potential Impact of Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (Adelges tsugae) Invasion on Brook Trout (Salvelinus fontinalis) Habitat in Western New York. Additional authors: Matt Altenritter. 
Tess Eichner- Bergen Swamp Hydrology and its Impact on Black Creek Water Chemistry. Advisors: Andie Graham and James Zollweg. 
Remi McCann- The Impact of Invasive Grasses on Reptile and Amphibian Populations in Wetlands. Advisor: Andie Graham.
Brayden Link- Evaluating Nutrient Limitations of Algae in Braddock Bay, Monroe County. Advisor: Michael Chislock. 
Jakob Scholeno- Microplastic and harmful algal blooms: Potential implications and population characteristics for Daphnia pulex and Hyalella azteca. Advisor: Michael Chislock.
