“This year’s festive theme continues our commitment to sustainability while paying homage to the island’s rich agricultural heritage,” says Shivan Pillay, Director of Rooms and Residences. The Resort’s gardening team, under the guidance of Thada Whasakool, the Sustainability Manager, along with student volunteers, cultivates rice plants and flowers that will decorate the Resort’s Christmas tree, symbolizing both growth and the preservation of traditions. Post-holiday, these rice plants will be relocated to an organic rice farm on the island to flourish and eventually be harvested. The flowers, meanwhile, will be returned to local schools and temples, enhancing these community spaces and deepening the students’ ties to their cultural and environmental heritage.

Throughout December and January, Executive Chef Ruslan Shipunov orchestrates a culinary journey filled with holiday spirit. The spotlight this year is on fresh seafood, ethically sourced produce, and premium meats, bringing the restaurants to life with exquisite dining experiences. The festive mood kicks off with Fisherman’s Christmas Eve at Main Beach—a festive beach BBQ featuring ocean-fresh seafood, traditional Christmas roasts, and succulent grilled meats, all enhanced by live music, fire spinners, fireworks, and cocktails infused with Thai elements.
At Koh Thai Kitchen, the event Tam Rab Thai offers a captivating Thai dinner buffet.
