Man identified after fatal car crash near Bowling Green – WBKO

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – One person is dead after a single-vehicle accident Friday night near Bowling Green just south of Plano.
Warren County Sheriff’s Office says it happened just before 10 p.m. in the 7600 block of Woodburn Allen Springs Road.
Sheriff Brett Hightower told WBKO the driver in a 2013 Ford Edge, was traveling on Woodburn Allen Springs Road when they went off the side of the road into a yard and struck a tree.
First responders arrived on the scene and attempted CPR, but the driver, a 30-year-old, identified as James William Gregory of Bowling Green was pronounced dead at the scene by the Warren County Coroner.
According to the sheriff’s office, no other occupants were in the vehicle.
Plano Volunteer Fire Department, Bowling Green Medical Center, and the Warren County Coroner assisted the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office noted alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.
WBKO was previously informed by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office of a different name and age for Gregory.
