(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Within the Persisterhood event on Wednesday evening, the St. Joseph Sustainable Environment Advisory Committee, or SEAC, was invited to speak at Persisterhood’s monthly meeting about some green events they’re hosting in the future.
SEAC makes it their goal to make St. Joseph a greener place and to reduce waste and pollution, and were invited to speak to the persisterhood about their future events.
Speakers spoke on leading the green way, SEAC’s plan for environmental sustainability by planting native plants, limiting single use plastics, and other events they have for the future.
Diane Waddell, SEAC’s Chair said,
“The SEAC group is happy to work with other organizations in the city, which have like minded goals. And those would be to work with creation work with nature, and provide ways of reducing recycling plastics, for example, what we’re doing is working on planting native plants and trees around the city in public places.”
SEAC urges people to use less single use plastics, keep wildlife alive, and all around think greener for the environment.
