Olivia Hospital & Clinic recognized for sustainability efforts – West Central Tribune

OLIVIA — The Olivia Hospital & Clinic received the Greenhealth Emerald Award for maintaining sustainable programs within health care. The award was given to Olivia Hospital and Clinic by Practice Greenhealth, a national environmental stewardship organization.
According to a news release, the award was part of several 2024 awards given to HealthPartners and its individual locations, including the one in Olivia. As a whole, HealthPartners received 18 sustainability awards this year. This is the 10th consecutive year which HealthPartners has been awarded for sustainability.
HealthPartners is a national nonprofit based out of Minneapolis which provides health care services to communities through its hospitals, clinics and health plans. The group also works in medical education and research.
Olivia Hospital & Clinic, formerly RC Hospital & Clinics owned by Renville County, joined the HealthPartners family in 2020. In addition to the hospital and clinic in Olivia, there are clinic locations in Renville and Hector.
Practice Greenhealth is a membership-based networking organization for health care groups. The organization includes more than 1,700 hospitals and clinics and strives to promote sustainability in the industry.
