Turkish Airlines, the airline that operates in more countries than any other, unveiled its sustainability brand “Tomorrow On-Board” on June 5, World Environment Day, during a special event at its main hub, Istanbul Airport. The event featured a showcase of sustainable in-flight products and services, as well as an exhibit of items crafted from reused aircraft parts.
The national flag carrier’s new sustainability brand, “Tomorrow On-Board,” encapsulates its future aspirations and is intended to convey this broad vision to passengers and investors as an integral part of its corporate culture. “Tomorrow On-Board” was established with key goals in mind: to enhance the airline’s brand image, provide a cohesive message and visual scheme for sustainability communications, consistently inform investors about sustainability activities, and engage passengers in these initiatives. This brand will guide all of the company’s sustainability efforts and communication strategies.
Commenting on the launch, Chief Invesment & Strategy Officer of Turkish Airlines, Mr. Levent Konukcu, said: “Tomorrow On-Board initiative embodies our commitment to reducing our environmental impact and enhancing sustainability practices across all our operations to leave a better world for future generations. Through this platform, we emphasize our dedication to offering transparent information and data, ensuring that our sustainability efforts are consistently clear and easily accessible to all stakeholders.”
To celebrate the launch, the exhibition “41.2607° North and 28.7424° East” at Istanbul Airport will display a carefully selected collection of artworks, including paintings, sculptures, and installations, by four diverse artists for two weeks. These artworks, crafted from materials such as parts of decommissioned aircraft, flight crew uniforms and bags, cabin carpets, and seat fabrics, highlight the commitment to fostering a better world.
